South East Asia - Peter Burges
Peter has had varied roles across IDP’s operations,
including Country Director Thailand, Country Director Hong Kong,
and senior management roles in China and the Middle
East. During his tenure with the company he has been
successful in significantly increasing IDP’s student placement and
testing business. Now based in Melbourne, Australia he oversees IDP
offices in five countries in the South-East Asia region:
Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Philippines and Cambodia.
South Asia - Harmeet Pental
Harmeet has extensive experience as country director
across India & Vietnam with Avon Products Plc & VLCC,
India’s largest health and beauty services provider. In
addition, he has extensive experience in sales and marketing,
customer service and operations, and new business development.
He is based at the IDP Gurgaon, India and South Asia Regional
office and is responsible for business growth and development in
India, Mauritius, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and
Malaysia.
Australasia - James Cauchy
James has been with IDP for the past three years, his main
focus has been the development of the onshore student placement
business.
He has also delivered a number of key business initiatives.
Recently he has take on the management of the client relations team
as part of his Australian region function.
North Asia - Allen Jiang
Allen's
career spans positions in multi-national companies and is a
graduate of Zhejiang Medical University with an MBA from JiaoTong
University, Shanghai. He heads up expert management and student
counselling teams in China and Hong Kong.
Middle East - Maher Elbakry
Maher has broad experience in multinational companies
and is recognised for his strong leadership and business and people
development capabilities. He has demonstrated an ability to build
strong teams and grow and improve businesses across a range of
environments. Maher is based in Cairo.
North America and UK
The North America and UK group currently reports to Harmeet
Pental, IDP's Regional Director of South Asia.
