IDP works in partnership with client institutions across all Australian education sectors, from secondary schools to universities, to recruit international students who want to study in Australia. By understanding an individual client’s goals, we help to position them to their best advantage in an increasingly competitive international environment.

Services to Clients

IDP partners with Australian education institutions to promote and market their institutions, courses, programs and services, and to facilitate the placement of qualified students.

Drawing on its 40 years of experience and extensive in-country resources, IDP places around 25,000 international students at Australian institutions each year.

In addition to student placement, IDP provides the following services:

• Display of client materials in IDP student placement offices
• General marketing and advertising advice and assistance
• Inclusion of institution and course information on the Electronic Institution and Course Database and Australian Study Opportunities
• Key Accounts Manager  for each Australian state
• Information and participation in IDP exhibitions and promotional events
• Representation at IDP exhibitions
• Advertising placement and advice – outdoor, on-line and print
• Monthly client newsletter
• In-country school visitation programs
• Operational updates
• Bi-annual market updates.

Events and Exhibitions

IDP regularly organises special student exhibitions, seminars and interview programs throughout the network where prospective students can meet Australian institution representatives and have personalised discussions about courses and career opportunities.

Offshore support through our Global Network

We provide support and advisory services to Australian clients through our international network of over 80 student placement centres. These include:

• Qualified counsellors who work individually with students to advise them on the right education choice to achieve their career goals
• Client Relations Managers to act as liaison points for clients in monitoring student interest, market intelligence and advising on potential opportunities
• Support for in-country visits, including promotions and administration
• In-country events
• Promotion of scholarship opportunities
• Administration of examinations  and scholarships
• Strategic marketing plans and implementation
• Establishment and management of alumni chapters
• Offshore translation, printing, mailing and distribution of materials and brochures
• Coordination of services for offshore distance education providers, including student services, distribution of materials, assignment tracking and arrangements for tutorials and examinations
• Organisation of promotional events in regional areas
• Familiarisation visits to Australia for in-country providers, education officials and media representatives
• Accompanied visitation programs
• Organisation of pre-departure seminars.

Client Advisory Group

The Client Relations Team regularly consults and receives feedback from a Client Advisory Group whose membership represents IDP’s institutional partners. The group provides feedback and advice around IDP’s current and proposed client services as well as assisting IDP to focus more effectively on the needs and interest of client institutions in a rapidly changing external environment.
