The role of participating institutions

What is the role of the participating institution

Participating institutions are expected to provide education and support services in accordance with their obligations under the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 and relevant codes of practice.

 

Generally, participating institutions are asked to provide:

 

  • Information on the institution and its relevant courses on its website
  • Response to requests for offer of placement and confirmation of offer/rejection within agreed timeframes
  • 5-week Introductory Academic Program (IAP) and Follow-up Orientation to APS students
  • Initiate and manage the process of variations to APS students scholarship outcomes in consultation with IDP
  • Support in monitoring the academic and non-academic progress of APS students
  • Invoice IDP for APS student related costs

 

A contractual agreement between IDP and participating institutions has been established to ensure effective delivery of the above services to APS students at the institution.
