Government Education and Training International-Tasmania
Government Education and Training International (GETI) Tasmania is a State Government organisation, operating within the Department of Education. It is the central business unit representing Tasmanian Government education and training providers to the world. The Tasmanian Government provides schooling for students from four years of age. Beginning in Kindergarten, students continue their education through Primary School, Junior High School, and Senior High School. When you study at one of Tasmania’s Government Schools or TasTAFE, you will be studying in an education system that prides itself on providing outstanding care and support to students.
A qualification from TasTAFE will provide you with the practical workplace knowledge and skills that are in demand in industries across the world. If you are also seeking a university qualification, the successful completion of your TAFE education may provide you with advanced standing into university degrees across Australia. TasTAFE offers Diploma plus Degree pathways to the University of Tasmania, which provide graduates with both a TasTAFE qualification and a university degree. TasTAFE is the largest Registered Training Organisation (RTO) in Tasmania and one of the 10 largest RTOs in Australia. Owned by the Tasmanian Government, TasTAFE offers a wide range of nationally-recognised qualifications from Certificate III to Advanced Diploma level to local and international students.
