The University of Strathclyde International Study Centre provides specialist degree preparation for international students studying abroad. Once students have successfully completed their preparation programme and met the progression criteria, they can begin their chosen university degree. ISC aims to give students the best chance of success when they progress to their degree at the University of Strathclyde.

The International Study Centre programmes are provided by Study Group in collaboration with the University of Strathclyde. Programmes at the International Study Centre are delivered by Study Group with Digital programmes offered in partnership with the online learning experience platform, insendi.

Students will be part of the University from the day they arrive at the International Study Centre. This means they will have access to all the campus facilities, including the library, Centre for Sport & Recreation and Students' Union. Students will also have access to additional resources available at the International Study Centre.

ISC specialist staff will introduce students to the style of teaching they will experience when they begin their degree. Students will take part in tutorials, seminars, group discussions and larger lectures. Along that student will receive specialist support during their studies, as well as regular assessments to monitor their progress, including examinations and coursework. Tutorial sessions will give students the opportunity to get individual feedback from their tutor and discuss anything that's worrying them.

The International Study Centre offers a variety of employability-focused activities that will give students a head start in their future career, called as CareerAhead. They will help students become a highly skilled, self-aware, confident and employable graduate. Students will develop key employability skills, such as teamwork, problem solving and communication. They will also be familiar with career opportunities and the world of work. Their tutors will assess strengths and suggest areas for improvement, creating a personal development plan to help students set goals for their future success.
