Apply for automotive in 2023 and save AUD 8,400

Kangan is excited to announce an automotive scholarship for new international students applying to study its two-year automotive package in February 2023.

Students will receive a one semester scholarship equivalent to AUD 8,400

The institute's courses provide students with the knowledge and skills in the field of light vehicles mechanics. Students will learn in varying environments from lectures, practical demonstrations and tasks through servicing vehicles in both simulated automotive work bays and in work placement.

Automotive

Students looking to pursue a career in the automotive industry can sign up for relevant programmes offered at the state-of-the-art Automotive Centre of Excellence (ACE) in Docklands. Located in the thriving Docklands precinct, Kangan's ACE is the largest and most advanced automotive training facility in the southern hemisphere.

Kangan works with some of the best industry brands to give its students access to practical work placement, the latest industry tools and real skills.

Accounting

The dynamic business landscape is getting more competitive and Kangan's accounting course provides hands-on skills to give students an edge and stand out from the crowd.

Centre for Fashion and Creative Industries

The centre delivers high quality innovative and industry-relevant training in fashion and beauty. Students have access to the latest digital technologies in the purpose-built campus including runway facilities, retail training centre, state-of-the-art textile and manufacturing hub and beauty training salon.

Centre for Health and Community Services

The health and community training programs take place in Kangan Institute's state-of-the-art training facilities. The courses promote situational awareness via simulation-based learning. Students learn through tasks set in realistic scenarios using cutting-edge equipment, simulated labs and other training programs, as well as through guided and immersive real-life work placements.

Commercial Cookery and Baking

Students learn in a real-world environment as a culinary or bakery student. Training takes place in a fully licensed training restaurant, Richards Restaurant and bakery at Broadmeadows, or at the brand new hospitality and bakery facilities in Bendigo.

English language studies

The dedicated ELICOS training centre in Docklands offers a series of courses from basic to advanced level to help persons wishing to improve their English for further study or work.

Library and learning centre

Library services are available at all campuses. Browse and borrow books, magazines, DVDs or access computers and quiet study areas at these libraries.

Cafeteria

The in-house cafeteria offers a good selection of dishes for lunch and quick snacks at an affordable price. With comfortable seats and a relaxed setting, students will love the ambience of the cafeteria. Cafeterias are available at most campuses.

Employment Centre

Kangan's Employment Centre is dedicated to assisting students to understand and develop their employability skills to help them find meaningful and sustainable employment. The centre can assist with a range of job search and employment related activities and resources and can also provide one-on-one assistance with job searching and writing applications.

Kangan Institute's English language – ELICOS courses are popular among international students. The courses are designed for these students to improve their proficiency in English and meet the English language requirements to take up a university programme, a TAFE course or prepare for employment.

The English language courses are designed to offer students a clear insight into:
