Overview
The University of Bath offers a research-led, top-class education, with excellent student facilities and an idyllic location. The university was established in 1966 and is based in South West England, with travel to London less than an hour and a half hour away by train.
Bath teaches courses in engineering, management, humanities, science and the social sciences. Its mission is to provide a world-class education, where students become innovative future leaders who make a positive impact on society. More than 18,600 students are enrolled at the university. 30 per cent of the student population is from outside the UK, representing over 130 nations. The city of Bath is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a coveted destination for international students. Bursting with historic architecture and entertainment, it's an ideal location year-round for cultural events such as festivals, exhibitions, sports and concerts.
It also provides a peaceful setting where students can quietly study and soak up stunning green spaces or riverside scenery. Students can however also enjoy the vibrant social scene, as the city is home to many unique pubs, clubs and bars.
Transport is affordable and easy, with cheap, quick bus routes between the city and campus. International students can choose to live at the university, or in safe accommodation within the city.
