Director of Client Relations and Business Development, Canada
Uri Carnat is responsible for overseeing IDP activity and growth in Canada, including secondary and post-secondary student-recruitment partnerships and the IDP co-owned IELTS exam.
Before moving to IDP, Uri ran 12 private language centres in Canada and the US. Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia and educated in Montréal, Québec, he has 10+ years of leadership experience in international education, with a background in operations and financial management, recruitment, and student services.
Luna Das Bangia
Head of Client Relations & Training, Canada
Before joining IDP, Luna was the India Director for U.S.-based Middlebury College. She worked as a Senior Advisor with the US-India Education Foundation and prior to that she spent four years with the Canadian Education Centre (CEC).
Manager - IELTS Operations (Latin America), Marketing (Canada)
CJ supports both the Partner Relations team and the IELTS Operations team to help meet IDP objectives and targets in Canada. CJ is responsible for internal and external communication strategies, event management, branding and marketing strategies for IDP Student Placement and IDP IELTS.
Formerly with the University of Toronto, CJ managed digital marketing and web projects for the School of Continuing Studies. Prior to her work with U of T, CJ spent two and a half years in marketing for The Printing House, and 4 years in event operations for Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment. CJ is fluent in French and English.
Partner Relations Manager
Prem works to foster and maintain positive working relationships with client institutions by providing reliable and consistent support to achieve recruitment targets.
Born and raised in Winnipeg, MB, Prem graduated from the University of Winnipeg with a BA in History and Political Science. He later worked as a Student Recruitment Officer for a combined tenure of nearly five years at UWinnipeg and York University. This experience allowed him to travel extensively across Canada and internationally in the UK, Middle East and South Asia where he developed an in-depth knowledge of student recruitment. Prem thoroughly enjoys travel and hopes to one day visit each continent in the world.
Partner Relations Manager
Amy comes to IDP most-recently from Quad Learning, where she worked for almost three years as Manager for Greater China and East Asia, launching their flagship US College Pathway Program. Prior to this role, Amy spent three-and-a-half years with IDP China in Shanghai, as Client Relations and Events Management Lead.
At Quad, Amy secured and maintained partnerships across Greater China with international high schools, university foundation programs, and agencies. Amy also facilitated visits for visiting US faculty and recruitment teams, counseled students, and conducted brand building for US-based college pathway programs. During the time with IDP China, Amy planned and promoted student-recruitment events, and she worked closely with the five on-shore teams to facilitate client visits and engagement, advised clients on strategic planning, and executed in-country marketing plans.
Having recently moved to Canada, Amy joins Client Relations Team in growing the IDP client portfolio in the country, managing and improving existing client relationships, and in supporting the work of IDP network colleagues.
Head of Client Partnerships, Hotcourses (Canada)
As Head of Client Partnerships, Lexie is responsible for implementing digital marketing, content and insights to IDP clients who are looking to explore new ways of engaging with prospective international students. Working closely with the IDP client relations team, Lexie leads on the new student recruitment model which integrates Hotcourses international websites with the IDP counsellor network to provide the first end-to-end recruitment journey.

Lexie joined the IDP Canada office in January 2018 and brings 5+ years of experience in international student recruitment through online media. She is keen advocate and actively involved with the Hotcourses Foundation, a charity which focuses on improving the lives of children in Kenya through education.
IELTS Administrator - IDP Canada National Testing Unit
Ismete Kroi-Malasllani is responsible for the overall operation of the IDP Canada National Testing Unit.
Ismete comes to IDP most recently from Tirana, Albania, where she worked for three years in the role of Test-Centre Administrator for the British Council. In this role, Ismete oversaw the administration of IELTS and UKVI testing, as well as other academic exams.
Born in Albania, Ismete completed her studies in Ontario in the Accounting and Finance field. Prior to her work as a Test-Centre Administrator, she worked in accounting roles for over 8 years in both Canada and Albania.
Muhammad Fahad Rafique
Deputy Administrator - IDP National Testing Unit
Muhammad Fahad is responsible for the overall processes involved in rendering a smooth and flawless Customer Experience at all the National Testing Unit venues. He also supports setting up new venues, training New and Current Test Day Staff and managing Test Day operations at all venues.
Fahad was born and raised in Dubai – U.A.E., he is a Business Post Graduate with more than 10+ Years of Experience in Human Resource and Logistics Management. Before joining IDP Education Canada, he worked for 7 years with British Council and IDP Education Dubai in the role of Test Day Supervisor/Manager while working full time as a Logistics Manager with an IT Manufacturing company.
Fahad brings about vast knowledge and expertise in Logistics and Human Resource Management, which is both important and essential to his role as the Deputy IELTS Administrator.
IELTS Deputy Administrator (Canada)
As the Deputy Administrator at the IDP IELTS Test Centre, Sabrina’s typical day at the office involves assisting candidates throughout the IELTS process, from general inquiries to registration, using the highest standards of customer service. On the operations side, Sabrina is responsible for managing IELTS staff and venues to ensure smooth and professional test delivery.
A native Torontonian, Sabrina holds a B.F.A. in Theatre Technical Production. A keen traveller, she left home to complete an M. Ed. from Framingham State University in the United States, following which she spent a decade teaching in Asia. Sabrina is excited to return home to continue her career in education and is pleased to be a part of the IDP Team.
National IELTS Operations Manager, Canada
Geoff comes to IDP most recently from retail giant Target Canada, where he worked as a Senior Business Partner. Prior to his work with Target Canada, Geoff spent 5 years at Loblaw Companies Limited, Geoff worked in multiple roles, optimizing business-unit purchasing models, and conducting programs aimed at driving sales and profitability.
With IDP Canada, Geoff will be working to meet company objectives and targets in the IELTS business unit, and leading our existing third-party test centres in expanding operations across the country.
National IELTS Operations Coordinator
Alex provides day-to-day operational assistance to Canadian IDP Test Centres by acting as a reference for IELTS procedure and as a point of liaison between centres, Cambridge English, and IELTS Central Operations. He also supports business development activities by reporting on market data, test-taker demographics, and competitor activities.
After several years in the language sector – working as Academic Director at a downtown Toronto language school after teaching English in Saudi Arabia, Germany, and Japan – Alex joined IDP in March 2015 as Communications and Operations Coordinator, assisting with event logistics, office management, and content creation for the IDP Global Network and IDP Canada communication channels.
Mishal supports marketing activities for both the Partner Relations and IELTS teams to help meet IDP’s objectives and targets in Canada. In addition to
A graduate of McGill University, Mishal has 7+ years of experience working in international education and has formerly worked as a student counsellor with IDP in Kuwait.
IDP Operations Coordinator
With a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and a Post-Grad in Global Logistics and Supply Chain Management, George comes to IDP Canada with a diverse portfolio of hands-on experience.
As the Operations Coordination, George manages local event coordination, liaises between IDP Canada clients and the global IDP network, and handles the operational tasks related to the day-to-day functionality of the Toronto office.
George is glad to engage with all members of the greater IDP family, as well as assist any client queries or requests for assistance.
