One of the largest universities in the UK, Manchester Metropolitan University is a historic and internationally recognised institution that dates back to 1824. Today, the city centre campus has over 34,000 students from more than 130 different countries.
Manchester Metropolitan is known for its quality of teaching, and its outstanding research, 85 per cent of which is rated as world-leading or internationally excellent (REF 2014-2021).
It is ranked 3rd in the UK for its architecture courses and 11th in the world in the QS World University Rankings 2021.

The university also has industry links with global companies allowing students on specific courses to attend year-long placements with prestigious employers. 93 per cent of Manchester Metropolitan students go into employment or further study within six months of graduation thanks to this support (16/17 DHLE).
