About University of New England English Language Centre

The English Language Centre (ELC) operates within the Directorate of Teaching and Learning Support (TaLS) at the University of New England and provides English language support and education for international students.

The ELC offers high academic standards, a stimulating learning environment, excellent resources and ongoing learning support for International students. The ELC staff are highly qualified, friendly and experienced in helping language students achieve their goals. The Centre offers quality accredited English language courses that focus on the individual learning needs of students. General English (GE), English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and Introductory Academic Program (IAP) courses are conducted all year, and the internationally recognised International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is also offered regularly.

The ELC is based on the campus of UNE, located in the beautiful city of Armidale, in northern New South Wales. The region is renowned for its friendly communities, rich Australian culture, sporting facilities, entertainment venues and educational excellence. Armidale boasts a unique balance between a relaxed, regional lifestyle and a low cost of living, while still having all the facilities students would expect in a metropolitan area.
