A combination of Portland State looks and feels like the typical college dorm experience in the United States, except with lots of added benefits. First of all, the location, it's a downtown location for an uncomparable price. Second of all, making friends. This is how I made all of my friends was being in the dorms. And third of all the dorms themselves. I mean, I had my own bathroom and a little kitchenette, and that's something you will definitely not find in dorms all over the country.

There are a number of housing options for international students at Western New England University. We have on-campus residence halls and also off-campus apartments, which are directly across the street from campus. Sometimes students will choose to rent a room and a house or an apartment which is nearby and this can be a cost-effective option. Although we always recommend that students live on campus for at least their first year so that they can really be integrated into the campus community. What's great is that when you've been accepted, all students fill out a housing questionnaire where you can tell us your likes and dislikes and if you have a preference of who you'd like to live with and then with that information, we pair you up with other students.

One thing we're very proud of here at Shoreline Community College is we have many different housing options for students. Of course, our beautiful, brand new on campus housing is very popular. But we also partner with three homestay companies that let students live with American families. So if you want, you can live one year with an American family, learn about the culture, eat the food with them. And one year on campus, you can spend both years on campus or both years with a family. It's really up to you. We really like to have choices here at our school.
