Being an international student, living far away from home does have a few challenges and one of them is homesickness. I had the homesickness by keeping a regular contact with my family and friends back home. I would tell them what I have done today, what are the new things they just explored? It can be new places or new dishes from different cuisine and new friends I just meet. Those are my few tips for handling homesickness.

What are some of the challenges or problems the international students face? Definitely just being away from home, having to adjust to a new environment, a new culture, being around new people. But what's really nice is you're not the only one. There are so many students that come from all over that you can connect with them, relate to. And there's so many resources on campus, including international student services, that can help you with anything.
