Study Abroad | Australia International Student Arrival Plan

What is “International Student Arrival Plan”?

“International Student Arrival Plan” enables a limited number of students to travel to Australia until current travel restrictions are lifted. The plan is developed by each Australia’s state and territory government and has to be endorsed by the Australian government. The state governments work with educational institutions to plan every step from the priority of returning, direct charter flights, post-arrival testing to quarantine arrangements, etc. >>Learn More

South Australia

  • “International Student Arrival Plan” passed in June 2021. South Australia will welcome 320 international students per month from the second half of 2021, and the quota will increase gradually. >>Learn More

New South Wales

  • “International Student Arrival Plan” passed in September 2021. New South Wales will welcome 250 international students per fortnight from December, and the quota will increase gradually.
  • Collaboration with Australian Capital Territory to enable 500 international students to return to the state by the end of 2021.  >>Learn More

Victoria

  • “International Student Arrival Plan” passed in September 2021. Victoria will welcome 240 international students per fortnight from December, and the quota will increase gradually. >>Learn More

Queensland

  • “International Student Arrival Plan” passed at the end of October 2021. Queensland will welcome 250 international students per fortnight from January 2022, and the quota will increase gradually. >>Learn More

Australian Capital Territory

  • Collaboration with New South Wales to enable 500 international students to return to the state by the end of 2021
  • Students will be able to return to Australian Capital Territory from the start of the 2022 academic year. >>Learn More

Western Australia

  • “Safe Transition Plan” released in November, expected to ease controlled border to allow for international and interstate travel in late January/early February 2022. >>Learn More
