Selection criteria

Applications are assessed based on the strength of the following criteria:

Written statement
Financial hardship
Preference to students from Western Sydney

For the purpose of these rules, Western Sydney comprises the 13 local government areas of Cumberland, Blacktown, City of Parramatta, Canterbury Bankstown, Campbelltown, Camden, Fairfield, Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury, Liverpool, The Hills, Penrith, and Wollondilly.

Selection process

The recipient will be selected by the Scholarships Office.

Application requirement details:

Applicants will be required to provide the following as part of the application:

A written statement of approximately 200 words outlining:

the hardship or barriers you have faced in accessing higher education, and
how your degree will change your future.

Evidence of financial hardship:

Most recent Tax Assessment Notice OR
Centrelink Income Statement OR
The most recent 60 days of bank transactions AND pay slips from the last 6 weeks

Study level you are applying for: Undergraduate

This scholarship is open to applicants who meet all the following criteria:

Commencing ACU course in Semester 1, 2023 or prior
Course: any ACU undergraduate degree
Campus: North Sydney, Strathfield or Blacktown
Financial hardship
