Why Study in Australia

Two reasons why Australia could be right for you

If you want to further your education, undertake a world class degree or just fast track your career, Australia offers a whole range of opportunities. Australia is hard to beat in terms of its standard of living, academic excellence, and support for international students regardless of what you choose to study be it an MBA, an engineering degree, a humanities or English language course. Australia’s state capitals, including Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Adelaide and Brisbane, are in the world’s 30 best cities for students.

Quality of life

The quality of life in Australia is one of the best in the world, only outdone by Norway. With modern infrastructure, top healthcare services, a wide range of public transport, comprehensive student services, and an affordable cost of living, Australia is a top choice for those looking to study overseas. The country has five of the world’s 30 best cities regarding quality of life, employment opportunities, cost of living, and student community. The Australian Government offers many incentives for those choosing to study there, including $200 million worth of scholarships, work visas in various fields, research opportunities, as well as the possibility of receiving permanent residency status after you graduate.

Quality of education

Australia has a country-wide regulatory and quality agency for higher education – the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA). This was established by the government to monitor quality, and regulate university and non-university higher education institutions against a set of standards developed by the independent Higher Education Standards Panel. In addition to this, the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) law protects:

  • The wellbeing of all international students.
  • The quality of students' education experience.
  • The provision of up-to-date and accurate information.
