Columbia College

Established in 1936, Columbia College is BC’s oldest private, non-profit community college based in downtown Vancouver. Columbia College operates on a trimester system with intakes in January, May, and September, ensuring students can get ahead in their education in Canada. We specialize in transitioning international students into the Canadian education system by offering small classroom sizes, affordable tuition, and an integrated English Language program.
Columbia College has both high school programs and University level programs therefore catering to the diverse needs of international students in Canada. Students in high school can take dual credit courses to count towards their high school diploma and University transfer courses, saving time and money. Students also have access to University level labs and services in high school.
Columbia College Secondary offers High School Completion programs for Grade 10, 11 & 12. Students can complete the official Dogwood Diploma of British Columbia or choose an Accelerated Secondary program to finish more quickly.
Columbia College offers the first 2 years of a 4 year degree in the University Transfer System before transferring credits into the major institutions in BC, including UBC and SFU. Alternatively, students can complete an Associate Degree (qualifying for the Post-Graduate Work Permit).
