Ryerson University, located in Ontario, Canada, is a well-known comprehensive university, ranked 11th in the 2020 Maclean's University Rankings Canadian comprehensive university rankings.

The campus is located in the centre of Toronto, Canada's largest city, and is a typical urban university. Found un 1948 as Ryerson Institute of Technology, the university officially changed its name to Ryerson University in 2002.

Ryerson University has attracted more than 39,400 students from 146 countries around the world, and offers more than 55 bachelor majors and more than 60 graduate majors. The university has more than 125 research centres, institutions and laboratories. There are a total of eight departments in Ryerson University, which are: Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Community Services, Faculty of Communication and Design, Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Science, Ted Rogers School of Management and Yeates School of Graduate Studies. There are more than 198,000 alumni worldwide.
