Humanities and Social Sciences
The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is marked by some outstanding successes – independently confirmed by impressive rankings. In recent national university guides, seven disciplines in the Faculty were judged to be in the UK top ten. Queen Mary offers degrees in a wide range of disciplines – from commercial law and politics, to film studies and literature.
Science and Engineering
Queen Mary has a distinguished tradition in science and engineering, and was one of the first UK universities to establish engineering, computer science, chemistry, and materials departments. The Faculty today provides research and teaching excellence across engineering, science and mathematics in five academic Schools.
Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry
Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry offer international levels of excellence in research and teaching while serving a population of unrivalled diversity. Through partnership with its linked trusts, the School’s research and teaching is informed by an exceptionally wide ranging and stimulating clinical environment.
Queen Mary offers university pathways at Foundation and Graduate Diploma level. It has a Science and Engineering and Humanities and Social Science pathway for Foundation students which leads into a range of Queen Mary degree programmes. Graduate students can take either a Humanities and Science pathway or a programme specifically designed for prospective Economics and Finance students. Pre-Sessional English is available prior to most degree programmes.
As one of the world’s most culturally rich and inspiring cities, London is a great place for students. Queen Mary has five campuses across Central London with the main campus being located between the City, Canary Wharf, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and the vibrant district of Shoreditch.
