Overview
A five-campus institution, Oklahoma State University (OSU) is a top public university which offers over 300 programs both on-campus and online.
Over 35,000 students from more than 100 countries are enrolled at OSU, creating a vibrant and inclusive learning environment.
The institution is renowned for its teaching, research, and sustainability work. It was recently ranked 8th in the U.S by the Times Higher Education's 2021 impact rankings, which assesses progress made towards the United Nation's sustainable development goals.
Founded in 1890, the university is an established and top-tier land-grant institution. Accessibility to education is a primary focus for OSU, so the student-teacher ratio is 20:1, so academic support is easily available and personable.
Rated amongst the top 25 best online colleges in the U.S, (Onlinecolleges.com 2020), it provides comprehensive and modern facilities across its multiple campuses. This includes its Edmon Low library, which is one of the top 100 academic research libraries in the U.S.
The university boasts a large alumni network with over 264,000 members. Successful OSU alumni includes country singer Garth Brooks, renowned attorney Anita Hill, and NFL player Barry Sanders.
Outside of academic learning, the university has the largest students' union in Canada. It runs over 500 clubs and societies across a range of interests, including 14 varsity teams.
The campuses are all located in Stillwater, which is in North East Oklahoma. A well-loved location, Stillwater was ranked sixth on The South's Friendliest Cities list (Southern Living 2018).
Ranked one of the best college towns to start a career, the campus is just 60 miles from both Oklahoma City and Tulsa. Travel between the city and campuses using community buses and transit are free for OSU students and staff. The bustling city of Dallas is also just four hours away, and Stillwater Regional Airport is only six minutes away from campus.
