The Graziadio Business School celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2019, with the dean of the school, Deryck J. van Rensburg, who is implementing the school's new strategic vision, ASPIRE 2025. This encompasses the school's vision and plan to develop Graziadio into a prestigious business school that is highly-ranked by U.S. News and World Report.

In early 2018, the school was renamed to the Graziadio Business School. It was previously known as the Pepperdine Graziadio School of Business and Management. The plan for the next seven years entails major school enhancements to vastly improve the student experience, further develop faculty as business pioneers, and advance industry relationships.

Deryck J. van Rensburg's vision for the Graziadio Business School is to ‘reach for new horizons and unleash its organic potential'. It will do this by providing a transformational education from business experts, developing students to become ‘best for the world' leaders and entrepreneurs.

As part of Graziadio Business School's 50th-anniversary celebrations, the school's dean, Deryck J. van Rensburg, has announced a new strategic plan called ASPIRE 2025. The strategy involves Graziadio developing its current success as a well-regarded and acclaimed business school and plans to remain highly ranked by the U.S. News & World Report.

The first step in this strategy took place in 2018 when the Pepperdine Graziadio School of Business and Management was renamed Pepperdine Graziadio Business School.

Department structure

The Pepperdine Graziadio Business School aims to challenge students to develop bold, innovative thinking abilities that facilitate transformational leadership in both industries and communities alike.

Students can study a range of programs including MBA, MS, executive, and doctoral degrees. All programs are designed with three key principles, namely, integrity, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

A range of part-time and full-time MBA, MS, and executive degree programs are available online as well as at the school's regional campuses across Southern California.

The Drescher Graduate Campus in Malibu offers mainly full-time graduate programs. This includes a standard full-time MBA program that has a number of specializations including dispute resolution, finance, entrepreneurship, and many more. There's also an international MBA which focuses on global business.

The full-time MBA program adopts an integrated approach to applied learning and emphasizes ethical leadership skills. Students of the full-time MBA program have the additional option of pursuing the Socially, Environmentally, and Ethically Responsible (SEER) Business Strategy certificate program. All MBA programs are designed to provide a values-based, collaborative, and experiential learning architecture, with a view to develop students' leadership.

Established for 50 years, the Pepperdine Graziadio Business School is the graduate school of business at Pepperdine University. Most of the full-time graduate MBA programs are studied on the Dresher campus in Malibu, including the international MBA with a focus on global business. Applications to the Graziadio Business School are based on a mixture of academic qualifications and personal achievements. The international admissions team is interested in students who will not only succeed academically, but will align with the school's values-based community. The team seeks determined students who demonstrate Pepperdine's values of purpose, service, and leadership.

The supporting documents required include an academic letter of recommendation, previous education scores (submitted directly from the school or testing authority), and proof of financial support. Applicants will also need to prove their English language levels. This could be through an IELTS score of 6.5 or higher, TOEFL paper-based score of 600, or online test score of 79, or equivalent.

Students can find all they require across each Pepperdine University campus. Those studying with the Graziadio Business School can live on the Drescher Campus housing accommodation, which boasts breathtaking ocean views. Apartments have areas to relax, study, and socialize in and are within walking distance to the school's teaching building. There is a free transport service where students can travel around campus and to the local shopping center.
