Overview
Located in the heart of Australia's vibrant capital city, the Sydney Institute of Business and Technology (SIBT) is a specialist pathway college with flexible entry criteria with a choice of study programs aimed at bridging the gap between secondary education and university level studies.
SIBT's diploma is equivalent to the first year of a bachelor's degree program and, after completion, students can directly progress into the second year of one of the many undergraduate degrees offered at Western Sydney University (WSU). SIBT is part of the Navitas Group, a globally recognised education provider, and since its foundation in 1997, has been working in collaboration with its partner universities to help thousands of students realise their aspirations of enrolling in a degree program at WSU.
Living and studying in Australia offers a rich and varied experience. The country has a vast range of landscapes and climates, from mountains and rainforests to miles upon miles of sandy beaches, tropical islands, coral reefs and, of course, the famous Australian Outback. Australia is an extremely diverse country with a culture entirely of its own, and Sydney is one of the greatest multicultural capital cities of the world. Over 180 national backgrounds are represented in its population. SIBT is located in the very heart of downtown Sydney, and is walking distance from shops, restaurants, art galleries and many of the city's best attractions, including the Royal Botanical Gardens, the iconic Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Sydney regularly ranks in the most popular cities for international students.
SIBT is located within the WSU campus and, for the duration of their studies, college students have access to the same facilities as their university counterparts. SIBT students are even able to join university clubs and societies, bringing opportunities to socialise with WSU's diverse community of students, and to ensure a smooth transition into university life.
