Master of Science (MS)

A Master of Science degree is based on research and scientific learning. For a MS degree, a bachelor's degree in a related field is always a prerequisite at almost all educational institutions offering master’s courses across the world. Master of Science degrees can be earned in accounting, economics, finance, management, information science, engineering, medicine, aviation, environmental studies and space studies. Most graduates, following a Master of Science degree, often prefer to go on to pursue a doctoral or Ph.D. program. Master's in most countries tend to combine an extension of undergraduate studies and advanced preparation for research. Therefore, students intending to pursue a doctorate often use the master's program to begin a research focus, wherein the majority of the program consists of independent studies, workshops and seminars. Some of the top universities abroad also offer undergraduate programs leading to master's degrees, often known as Integrated M.Sc. / B.S. + M.S. degrees.

MS in Australia

MS in Australia courses are designed for science graduates intending to broaden and extend their academic and research background in science and technology. An MS in Australia is particularly useful for graduates in one scientific discipline who wish to study in another area of science, or for students seeking employment in a multidisciplinary science environment. It is designed to cater to two distinct groups of students: professional scientists wishing to update their industry-related skills for career advancement and students considering a research degree. MS in Australia program provides advanced theoretical and practical knowledge in a range of specialist scientific fields, through lectures, workshops, projects and directed study. Students can develop an understanding of specialist fields in which they have little prior knowledge, or extend their prior expertise. MS in Australia courses contain compulsory core professional subjects relevant to all science disciplines. The professional strand is complemented by a choice of major study in a specific science or mathematics discipline, or in science management. Students also have the option of undertaking a research project, subject to approval by the faculty.

MS in USA

Students intending to pursue an MS in USA have over 1,700 universities and varied specializations offered by each university to choose from. The students also have to make a choice between the Academic and Professional Masters. A Degree program through an MS in USA also offers flexibility to design programs and to choose electives beyond department. An MS in USA is a combination of research, experiments and coursework, which can go beyond the classroom boundaries. Pursuing an MS in USA not only encompasses basic Physics, Chemistry and Biology, but U.S. universities also offer over 100 specializations in more than 3,000 U.S. universities. Postgraduate degree spans over 2 years and involves rigorous coursework, trainings and research. Some USA universities as part of their curriculum offer hands on training and give various research opportunities to students. Funding for the Masters includes assistantships, internships and on campus jobs.

MS in Canada

An education in the field of MS in Canada offers the students with the opportunity to pursue further major options such as Marine Biology, Conservation Biology, Plant Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Statistics, Geology and Veterinary etc. An education in the field of MS in Canada has a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs with research options. Various degrees are offered by Canadian universities to students looking for an MS in Canada in the disciplines of General MS's, Earth MS's, Atmospheric MS's, Earth & Ocean MS's, Computer MS's, Environmental MS, Biotechnology and so on. Studying an MS in Canada helps the students to progress in areas such as transportation, communications, health care and medicine, food production and IT by having access to world class infrastructure.

MS in New Zealand

Science courses offered by Universities, Institutes of Technology and Polytechnics and Private Training Establishments in New Zealand cover several study areas. Courses at vocational and diploma level often fall under laboratory skills or applied science, which provide students with a basic grounding in scientific knowledge and principles. MS programs in New Zealand can also be studied through a postgraduate certificate in science or a master’s degree by coursework. The fields, being heavily focused on research, a large number of dedicated research centers are available at almost every university across the country. Further, students can choose from subject areas including the general disciplines of chemistry, physics and biology, along with specialized subjects such as biomedical science, marine studies, conservation, food technology, meteorology and geology.

MS in UK

MS in UK is an academic orientation of a particular subject. It gives the students a thorough understanding of the specialized field. An MS in UK is a research based study of any specialized area which usually requires a dissertation before receiving the degree. An education in the field of MS in UK offers plenty of options in the fields of psychology, earth MS's and astronomy. By studying MS in UK, you can tap into the vast experience in the pure MS's of Biology, Chemistry and Physics. This course is suitable for all those new graduates who have no prior recognized work experience. With the help of an MS program, one can step out further in the field of academics and work towards their thesis.
