Experiences shared by students who have reached their respective higher education institutions in the UK after being serviced by IDP India.
Salman Farooq Kulu, September 2015 intake.
When I first came to IDP for my counselling session I was very worried about my career as my case was different from the other students . IDP helped me in getting an overseas admission and helped me with each and every query . Chhavi ma'am who is my counsellor helped me out and gave her best to get me enrolled in a good university . I am happy that I went to IDP and they guided me very well . In future i will recommend other students to IDP because they genuinely help you out and their counselling sessions are very good . I would also like to thank Hema ma'am and Riya ma'am for their support."
Swapnil Kulkarni, University of Strathclyde, MSc Sustainable Engineering: Renewable Energy Systems and the Environment September 2013 intake.
"I would like to thank IDP for helping me find the best out of me. Spoon feeding doesn’t work out well in the long run, but guiding someone to explore his own potential does help a lot, I feel lucky enough to receive quality guidance & counseling from IDP. The way I made progress on my way for doing MSc. in UK and decided to take a course, I was myself clear about my own ideas, all of this was because of the guidance of my counselor. The way my counseling sessions progressed my counselor tried to understand me and helped me see things with a broad perspective and in a realistic way. Later I was quite clear about why I am selecting the course, the University and what the career outcome I should expect, which made things quite easy and clear. This is what I feel the best part about IDP was, to make me able to explore myself, understand my goals and guiding me on my way. I feel no need to mention about the great quality and professional service provided by IDP as they are the pioneers in the field. I would also like to mention, I am quite happy with the course I am pursuing and things are just the way I had expected. Thanks IDP ."
Suramya Ranjan Mali, University of Glasgow, MSc Electrical & Electronic Engineering
"Hi, My name is Suramya. I had heard about IDP from one of my friend while I was in my 3rd year of engineering. I visited IDP in 2011 and had an excellent experience with the counselors. They were so friendly, cooperative and encouraging. They patiently answered to tonnes of questions that I asked them then as a beginner. By the help rendered by the counselors, I had applied multiple Universities and also was accepted the offer but unfortunately, I couldn't make it that year. After almost a year later when I went back to them to reapply, surprisingly they welcomed me back so enthusiastically and offered the same amount of cooperation and interest towards my profile. My counselor was very prompt and always processed my applications on time. In addition to that, once I got the offer from the University, my counselor also took care of my visa application and also shared those extra bits of suggestion and information in between that could be helpful for me while I was abroad. Finally, I do not forget to mention that they did all of these for me without me having to spend a single penny unlike other consultancies those who charge huge consulting fees. I would be literally thankful to the whole team of IDP, specially to my personal counselor for being responsible in changing my life in such positive direction."
Ganesh Chandrasekaran, MSc Telecommunications, University College London, 2012-13
"Initially to be very frank with my mark and other stuffs I didn’t know how to take my next step. Then my friend referred IDP to me. I visited IDP with my mark sheets. I visited IDP Counselor initially and I explained my situation. She recommended taking up Masters in UK. Then she gave me many advice, they were really very useful. The unique thing I found about IDP was I was given the opportunity and responsibility to take decision on my own. None of the other Study Abroad Consultants does this. Counselors were very polite and helped me in all decisions I took. I initially came to IDP with an option of pursuing MBA in my mind. I met few Universities and got offer letters for my MBA program. After few days I changed my mind to Masters in Telecommunications & applied to Australia & UK. At last after several advises and research I finalized to accept University College London, UK. In all my decision IDP was with me and helped me to choose the right path for my carrier. My parents were not in a position to support my Entire tuition fee and we applied for many scholarships provided by University then I came to know about Jubilee Scholarships through IDP and I then applied for this scholarship and counselors motivated me positively every time I met them. IDP guided me in all stages of my application. Without this scholarship I think I would not have continued my Masters program this year. This scholarship meant everything to me. I am really very thankful to British Government for this Scholarship. I would strongly recommend IDP to others. I feel IDP is the best Study Abroad Consultants which cares for students and guide them to take their own decision. I have already recommended IDP to some of my friends they will get there in near future."
Sauvik Das, MSc programme in Petroleum Geosciences, Imperial College London, 2012-13
"I am Sauvik Das and recently graduated from IIT Roorkee with an Integrated M.Tech. degree in Geological Technology and I look forward to study 1 Year MSc programme in Petroleum Geosciences at Imperial College London with a full scholarship (Jubilee Scholarship 2012) from the British Council. I was a bit lost about how to give a good response to the various questions that were being asked at the initial application stage as well as to finalize at a good ‘Statement of Purpose (SOP)’. So at this stage I was looking for some help online and I came across IDP. IDP is just a unique institution which provides a tailored solution to each and every student. They take great care in every student who visits, calls up or mails them. The counsellors are very experienced and they can provide with an array of options which one might have never given a thought about. Or they can easily help one to choose between several options by stating the pros and cons of each of them, thus helping to narrow down to the best fit. I would be happy to recommend IDP to my friends and family. As of now I have already recommended IDP to several people from my college and hope to do so more in the future. I have both been to their office at New Delhi as well as stayed in contact both over telephone as well as through email. I have always been welcomed with great hospitality and a personalized care with each request that I kept. I hope that several students keep benefitting from IDP."
Sweta Ashok Katariya, MA Education(Leadership and Management), Liverpool Hope University, January 2012
"I have reached Liverpool and settled comfortably. As I think about this admission, it makes me laugh because IDP has made this mission impossible a possible one. From identifying universities to processing my application when the whole of UK was celebrating Christmas, and then a patient and positive follow up in January. All of this in 15 days. Your positivity, patience and thorough knowledge about universities, visa, resume, SOP, financial support etc has 100% accelerated the admission process. Coming to IDP was one of the wisest decisions and I am glad you proved it right. IDP is thorough in its knowledge. The promptness in their communication and the transparency in their system is undoubtedly a mark of excellence. I was amazed when I learnt from my IDP counsellor that her organisation would have no monetary benefit or any other gain from my admission. Above that, I wasn’t charged a dime for the entire process. From application to visa, everything was done by her. This definitely indicates that the organisation thrives on excellence and not balance sheets. In future, if I plan to pursue PhD, I definitely know whom to approach. Their speed, accuracy and commitment to help the student achieve his/her desired goal is commendable."
Urvashi Singh, MA in Fashion Management, De Montfort University, September 2011
"I am very thankful to the entire team of IDP who have helped me to choose my course and desired country. I always wanted to go abroad for my higher education and my dream has come true with the help of the members of IDP. Special thanks to my IDP counselor who has been very co-operative and polite. She has done the whole process with full dedication. As, I was staying out of station, she sent me all the documents on time and showed her full interest. I would also like to thank other IDP staff who helped me in my loan process and the explanation of the Pre-departure. I am satisfied with the entire team of IDP and happy that finally after so many hurdles, I got my VISA today."
Kratika Nayak, M. Sc Applied Biomolecular Technology, University of Nottingham, September 2011
"I went to IDP with the hope that they would help me get into a good ranking university in UK for a M.Sc. programme. My IDP counselor shortlisted five of the best ranked universities for me. These universities offered courses that were similar to my academic background. Thereafter she helped me in filling up the forms and putting all my documents together for final processing. The assistance that I received from my counselor resulted in getting me an admit offer from the two best universities, i.e. University of Nottingham and University College London. I have decided to join University of Nottingham for M. Sc in Applied Biomolecular Technology. Besides, my counselor helped me with the visa processing because of which I got my visa in 10 days."
