Graziadio Business School is a leading education provider located on California's stunning golden coastline. Founded in 1969, the business school is a branch of Pepperdine University, Los Angeles.

The university has five campuses in California, including its main base in Malibu, welcoming international students from over 70 countries. A faith-based Christian school, applicants of all faiths and backgrounds are welcomed and encouraged to apply.

What's new

As part of Graziadio Business School's 50th-anniversary celebrations, the school's dean, Deryck J. van Rensburg, has announced a new strategic plan called ASPIRE 2025. The strategy involves Graziadio developing its current success as a well-regarded and acclaimed business school and plans to remain highly ranked by the U.S. News & World Report.

The first step in this strategy took place in 2018 when the Pepperdine Graziadio School of Business and Management was renamed Pepperdine Graziadio Business School.

The school will now continue to focus on providing a transformational education from business experts, as well as preparing its students to become leaders and entrepreneurs who make a difference. To achieve this, over the next seven years the school will undergo major developments to improve the student experience, develop its faculty and advance industry relationships.

Teaching quality

Teaching quality

Graziadio Business School has 95 full-time faculty members and 30 adjunct members. Its faculty are highly qualified experts, and because several teachers still work in the business sector, students are taught the latest industry developments from professional perspectives. Faculty are also role models and mentors, showcasing and teaching leadership skills to students.

The small classes, an average of 26 students per class, create an interactive learning environment where students can build strong relationships with both their professors and peers.

Students also learn beyond the classroom through regular events on campus every year. This includes networking groups, careers workshops, alumni panels, and various other invaluable events. Combining expertise from different areas around the school, including research centers and industry partners, these events prepare students for the world of work and be successful upon graduation.

Programs

Established for 50 years, the Pepperdine Graziadio Business School is the graduate school of business at Pepperdine University. The school offers a wide range of full-time programs including MBA and MS Programs. In addition, Graziadio offers a portfolio of part-time, executive degrees based across five campuses in southern California, with online programs also available.

Graziadio's innovative teaching style and experiential learning focus on teaching integrity, critical thinking and entrepreneurship. Empowering students to be bold thinkers, the school encourages its community to make a positive difference to industries and wider society.

Most of the full-time graduate MBA programs are studied on the Dresher campus in Malibu, including the international MBA with a focus on global business. The MBA programs focus on a range of specializations, including leadership and managing organizational change business analytics digital innovation and information systems dispute resolution entrepreneurship marketing entertainment, media and sports management and finance.

The modern teaching style of the MBA programs combines applied learning with an emphasis on developing ethical leadership skills. Students on the full-time course can also attend the award-winning Socially, Environmentally, and Ethically Responsible (SEER) Business Strategy program and earn a certificate. All MBA qualifications are designed to provide a values-based, collaborative, and experiential learning environment that develops leadership skills.

The school also offers a variety of full-time MS programs, including applied finance, global business, human resources, real estate and business analytics.

Applications to Graziadio Business School are assessed on academic qualifications and personal achievements. The international admissions team particularly looks for applicants who demonstrate the university's values of purpose, service and leadership, as well as fitting into the university's community.

Applicants need to submit their application essay through the Common Application. Facilities

Facilities

Pepperdine University has a variety of facilities, and students can find everything they need on campus. There is a large range of both educational and social facilities, including dining areas computer labs technology support shops fitness centers and three university libraries which collectively have over 800,000 books and resources.

Graziadio Business School students can live in the Drescher Campus accommodation, which boasts breathtaking ocean views and is within walking distance to campus. All apartments have places to relax, study and socialize with peers. There are also free transport services, so students can travel easily between campus and the local shopping center.

To look after student's health and wellbeing, the Student Health Center has a wide range of medical services, from immunizations to massage therapy. There are also dedicated support services for students with extra requirements including disabilities and veterans.

Outside of the classroom, students can take part in plenty of extracurricular activities through Graziadio's student clubs and organizations. These activities include athletics programs and student-run clubs such as the Graziadio Women's Business Association, Pepperdine Real Estate Association, Finance Club and Net Impact to name a few. As Pepperdine University is a faith-based institution, there are also spaces for students to explore spirituality and their chosen faith, whatever it may be.

Scholarships & funding

Scholarships & funding

Graziadio Business School recognizes and awards the achievements of its students and offers a range of scholarships to eligible individuals. These scholarships help the best and brightest students apply for the school, without worrying about finances.

Applicants who apply to Pepperdine University through Common Application will automatically be considered for most scholarships. To be considered, applicants need to include results from a GMAT or GRE test taken within five years before applying.

Some scholarships include more specific criteria, but most of Graziadio Business School's scholarships are judged and awarded annually based on academic excellence. Evidence of extracurricular activity, work experience and leadership skills are also considered.

For international students who need extra financial support, there is an American co-signer loan option.
