The university’s School of Life Sciences have recently announced the launch of five single-year postgraduate courses in biomedical and molecular sciences. As well as a single honour’s course, there will be the option to combine biomedical and molecular sciences with one of business, entrepreneurship, management or marketing. These full-time courses will enhance graduates’ preparation for their next career move.
The biomedical and molecular sciences side of the courses will specialise in the pre-eminent areas of interest in the biopharmaceutical sector, equipping students with the skills and tools needed to succeed in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry. Additionally, students will be learning from and working in partnership with researchers at the cutting-edge of their field, allowing them to develop the skills which will give them an advantage in their future career path.
The joint honour’s courses will combine this with a critical teaching of either business, entrepreneurship, management or marketing skills. These four areas are of rapidly growing importance in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry and the rigorous grounding in them that these courses provide will enable students to stand out in the crowded job market of this industry.
The university will also be welcoming international students to the University of Dundee to study Adult Nursing. It is proud to be in the World Top 100 for Nursing (QS World Rankings, 2018) and its students praised the course for its 50/50 split between theoretical teaching and practical placements. Its Adult Nursing programme can be studied at BSc, BSc (Hons) or MSc level, depending on the student’s academic qualifications.
