Founded in1880, University of Southern California is one of the world’s leading private research universities. It is an anchor institution in Los Angeles, a global centre for arts, technology and international business. The university’s diverse curricular offerings provide extensive opportunities for interdisciplinary study and collaboration with leading researchers in highly advanced learning environments.
University of Southern California is home to the College of Letters, Arts and Sciences and 21 exceptional academic schools and units. It offers renowned specialized care and research in cancer, stem cell and regenerative medicine, orthopaedics and sports medicine. Today, the university is home to 44,000 students and 4,000 full-time faculties.
The two primary campuses are both located in the heart of Los Angeles. The 229 acre University Park campus is home to the college of Letters, Arts and Sciences, the Graduate School, and most of USC’s professional schools. A few miles to the northeast is the 79 acre Health Sciences campus. It is home to the Keck School of Medicine of USC and the School of Pharmacy as well as three major teaching hospitals.
