York’s Centre for English Language Teaching (CELT) provides pre-sessional courses to help students reach the language standards of their course or to increase English proficiency. CELT also offers free English language courses covering a range of useful skills such as academic writing and speaking skills for the University’s international students
The one-year York International Foundation Programme is taught at the University’s associate college, York College. It helps international students to acquire the qualifications and skills for entry to a UK university undergraduate degree in Science, Social Science, and Business and Management.
