The university has a long history of delivering online teaching and has been ranked number eleven in the U.S. for bachelor's degree programs. Students can choose to complete the full degree online, or transition to the University of Arizona's main campus if they are within the first two to four semesters of their program. What's new

A University of Arizona degree program is now available to students wherever they are in the world. UA now provides a number of ways for students to undertake their studies offering a world of opportunity whether they choose to start their program online with UA Global at home or on campus. Students can complete part, or all of their degree program online, allowing them to earn a degree from a world top 100 university at an affordable cost.

To enhance the student experience, UA Global have developed over 650 Partnerships globally. These Partners, also known as Microcampuses, provide a range of services that students can choose to engage with in order to enhance their study experience.

Microcampus partners range from co-working spaces, to full university campuses which offer access to library and study spaces, as well as university housing providing students with the independence that comes from living away from home.

By providing a number of ways for students to undertake their studies, UA offers a world of opportunity whether students choose to start their program at home or on campus. Options include:

  • Students can complete a degree at the University of Arizona Campus and have access to university facilities and support.
  • Students can start and finish a university degree online, with the benefit of reduced tuition costs and a choice of an extensive range of subjects.
  • Students can enroll on a customized degree program, which allows them to start studying online and transition to campus at a later stage. Reduced tuition fees, extensive student support and in-country services (subject to availability) are the benefits of this approach.
  • Students can enroll with non-degree seeking status online to gain credits for full admission.
  • Students can undertake a ‘Study Arizona' semester, with online study combined with a single semester in the U.S.
  • Students can enroll for a graduate certificate to develop specific skills in a subject area.

Entry requirements

Entry requirements

Students can find the academic program options available at the University of Arizona by visiting the Undergraduate majors list, the Graduate Catalog, and program descriptions on the UA website. For those seeking to join an online program more information can be found on the UA Global website. Entry requirements vary between programs but there are general guidelines for admission.


The University of Arizona admits students who have a high school grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 and/or a transfer GPA of 2.5. Students may be considered for admission based on improvement and academic potential if they do not meet these requirements.

UA is a test-optional institution and does not require standardized academic testing such as SAT or ACT scores for admission, though these may help to increase the value of a scholarship award.

Undergraduate students can apply for conditional admission if they meet all academic admission requirements except the minimum English proficiency. Students must provide proof of language proficiency at the required level in order to receive their I-20 and proceed with additional application steps such as housing selection.


International students must meet all of the basic admission requirements for the Graduate College, including having earned a bachelor's degree or its equivalent with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 based on a 4.00 scale, where 3.00 represents a B and 4.00 an A. Students are required to produce proof of English proficiency, proof of financial resources, and health insurance.

Students are encouraged to visit the university website for specific information about admission requirements and application deadlines, which vary by department. Graduate departments may recommend students for conditional admission if they meet all Graduate College requirements except the minimum English proficiency requirement, with the expectation of achieving the required level of English proficiency within one year.

Scholarships & funding

Scholarships & funding

The University of Arizona offers substantial, multi-year scholarships to students who exhibit outstanding academic performance, including first year and transfer students from all over the world.

Whether students pursue a degree on campus, online, or a mix of both, the University of Arizona offers affordable tuition options to put a U.S. degree within reach. Students will be considered for main campus scholarships whether starting their degree in Tucson or starting online and transitioning to the main Tucson campus later. These scholarships reduce the cost of tuition for full time undergraduate study. Graduate scholarships vary by program of study.

Regardless of whether students start their degree online through a Customized Degree Path or complete their studies fully online, tuition will be priced by the credit hour, tailored to the country in which they will study. Students completing their full undergraduate degree online even have the option to spend a semester at main campus in Tucson at their online tuition rate.

The university also boast an internationally recognized scholarship portal and program that matches UA students with potential funding, as well as assisting students in the application process.

Student support

Student support

UA provides support to students as they earn their degrees through academic and faculty advising, tutoring services, on campus housing and International Student Services (ISS), which offer a range of resources on and off campus. The service provides academic and personal support to students during their time at the university, including immigration and academic support, international student orientation, events to connect with other students, and leadership opportunities.

Additionally, students can learn leadership skills in over 600 student organizations, focus on wellness and fitness at the Student Recreation Center and Campus Health and cheer on student athletes as they compete in 21 NCAA Division One athletic programs. The University of Arizona is also dedicated to the safety of all students, not only including groups overseeing campus security, but services that provide safe transportation in and around campus.

The University of Arizona's global online programs offer students the opportunity to earn a top-ranked US degree from anywhere in the world. Providing the ultimate in flexibility, students can customize degree program to suit their needs.

Students can choose from more than 20 undergraduate degrees and 20 graduate programs as they enjoy a flexible class schedule from their home country. Also, students can complete their full degree online, take credits to transition to main campus when they are ready and able, or enroll in a dual-degree program or choose to transfer UArizona credits to another institution.
