Sterling College traces its roots back to 2001 in Victoria, BC, where it was known as Stewart College. For more than 16 years the institution focused on providing ESL training for international and local students wishing to strengthen their English skills. Late 2016 marked the beginning of a new era for the institution as the College began a series of transformational changes. This started with the change in ownership of the institution making it a part of the Asia Pacific Education (APEDU) group. Stewart College was the second institution to become a part of the organization following the acquisition of Canadian Tourism College in February 2016. More exciting changes occurred in 2017 which included the addition of a location in Vancouver, the introduction of the first career training program, and introduction of the College?s new name, Sterling College.

The college provides courses in Business, Nursing and Technology. Sterling College also offers three Red Deer College programs. These programs have the advantage of offering dual awards from both Red Deer College and Sterling. Students can receive a diploma from Sterling College and an occupational diploma from Red Deer College upon completion of the Software Development or the Network Administration programs or they can take the Health Care Practice program to receive a postgraduate certificate from Sterling College and an occupational diploma from Red Deer College.

With two Sterling College campuses in British Columbia, students can be sure to find one that is convenient for them. The Vancouver location is situated in the heart of downtown, easily accessible by transit and close to beautiful Vancouver Convention Centre on the waterfront. The Surrey campus is also close to transit and central to shopping and parks. Students will find sightseeing attractions, restaurants, and shops close to both of college?s great locations.
