At the University of Hartford, students find a developing campus, including recent expansions to the libraries and student union, and a new expansion to the business school opening in fall 2019.
Barney School of Business
The expansion to the Barney School will add 10,000 square feet of space to Auerbach Hall and renovate 1,300 square feet to create a state-of-the-art high-tech learning environment complete with a trading room and analytics lab that will simulate the trading floors found at asset management and investment banking firms.
Student Success Center
A one-stop-shop, where students can process paperwork, meet with support staff, stop by Career Services, join a club, and learn about study abroad opportunities, will open at the heart of campus in the fall.
Gengras Student Union
The Gengras Student Union was recently transformed with a new community space for students, faculty, and staff—Hawk Lounge—and new collective spaces to inspire collaborative work and encourage students to participate in organizations.
A new project brings the physical space, technology, and infrastructure of the Harrison Libraries in line with the university’s evolving understanding of teaching and learning, designed to benefit learners, scholars, creators, and supporters from across the university. This modern space brings all library facilities together with a full Starbucks Café serving as a gathering place in the lobby.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing
This program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) for both the bachelor’s and master’s levels, and will have its first intake in the September term of 2019.
Bachelor’s Degree with Montessori Education
The bachelor's degree with Montessori education concentration pairs the University of Hartford’s curriculum with Association of Montessori Internationale (AMI) teacher training, putting students on course to earn an internationally-recognized AMI diploma by the time they graduate.
