University of Massachusetts Dartmouth traces its roots to 1895 and distinguishes itself as a vibrant, public research university dedicated to engaged learning and innovative research resulting in personal and lifelong student success. The UMass Dartmouth Navitas Global Student Success Program (GSSP) is located on campus at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
The Undergraduate UMass Dartmouth Navitas GSSP is composed of elements that enable students to successfully complete UMass Dartmouth undergraduate degree. It is designed to provide an academic and cultural bridge between high school and a UMass Dartmouth degree. The program is comprised of disciplined for-credit and other courses that, completed with the specified grade point average, will be credited towards degree requirements in UMass Dartmouth degree.
The Graduate UMass Dartmouth Navitas GSSP is a one-semester or two-semester program aimed at international students requiring a bridge to a business or engineering master's degree program in the USA. It helps to close the gap in the student's English language proficiency, communication skills and generic research skills while simultaneously earning credits towards their MBA and Master of Science degree programs in Business or Engineering.
UMass Dartmouth Navitas students are able to use all services and facilities at UMass Dartmouth including the library, student centers and athletic facilities, outdoor activities and events, and student clubs and associations. There are 180 student clubs and organizations at UMass Dartmouth, which includes groups such as the Film Club, Gaming Society as well as individual country associations. Its students have more class time per class than university which allows more time to understand the course. Also opportunities to attend concerts, socials, and educational lectures are always available to international students on the campus.
