With 17 colleges and schools and nearly 100 departments, one would be hard pressed to find a subject matter not taught at the U. The university offers more than 100 undergraduates and 90 graduate degree programs designed to inspire, transform and launch students into a successful future. These range from art history to computer engineering, entrepreneurship, health communication, leadership studies, sociology and urban ecology.

The MUSE Project, which helps students create a personalized educational experience, is option to connect with inspiring people and opportunities. The U offer many internships, study abroad programs in more than 50 countries, and research opportunities designed to take students college experience beyond the classroom.

There are more than 600 academics, social and athletic groups on campus, from the Lowell Bennion Community Service Center to the Mighty Utah Student Section (MUSS) that cheers on university?s Pac-12 athletic teams. Each week, colleges, departments, clubs and organizations host dozens of weekly activities and events.

The arts at the University of Utah are abundant and diverse as they are accessible. Between the five academic units in the College of Fine Arts and the three professional arts organizations, there are hundreds of plays, performances, exhibits, concerts, film screenings and chances to interact with local and international artists every year.

Salt Lake City sits in a large valley surrounded by the Wasatch Range of the Rocky Mountains to the east and the Oquirrh Mountains to the west. Forming the backdrop to the U of U campus, the Wasatch Mountains offer students a network of hiking, biking, and running trails a few minutes from campus.
