Victoria University (VU) was founded in Melbourne, Australia in 1916 as Footscray Technical School. After successive mergers with some other Technical and Further Education (TAFE) colleges across Melbourne’s western suburbs, Victoria University of Technology was established in 1990 and renamed Victoria University in 2005.

Osteopathy at VU:

Osteopathy is a form of manual healthcare which recognises the important link between the structure of the body and the way it functions. Osteopaths focus on how the skeleton, joints, muscles, nerves, circulation, connective tissue and internal organs function as a holistic unit.

As a VU graduated osteopath, you use a model of therapy that places a lot of significance on understanding the psychosocial aspects of an ongoing injury- as well as the biological aspects. To register with the Osteopaths Registration Board of Australia (OBA) as an allied health professional, you need to complete both the Bachelor and Master in Osteopathy.
