University of Dallas
Founded in 1956 through a unique partnership between the Diocese of Dallas and a group of dedicated lay people, the University of Dallas is a private, Catholic, co-educational university open to students of all faiths. The university provides an academically rigorous environment with a supportive community of faculty, staff and students from diverse backgrounds. It currently enrols more than 1,300 undergraduate students and 1,200 graduate students from across the U.S. and the world.
The University of Dallas is dedicated to the pursuit of wisdom, of truth, and of virtue as the proper and primary ends of education. It offers 29 undergraduate majors, more than 20 graduate programs and a wide range of graduate and non- credit certificate programs across four main academic divisions in the arts, humanities, sciences, education, business and nursing. While all majors and programs are designed to prepare students to address contemporary challenges within their discipline, the curriculum is based on a core that emphasizes the pursuit of truth and virtue in the classical Western tradition and the importance of academic rigor.
Located in Irving, a city of over 200,000 with six global Fortune 500 headquarters, the university’s campus is an oasis in the middle of the vibrant Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) metro area.
