University of Northern Colorado
The University of Northern Colorado is a comprehensive baccalaureate and specialized graduate research university with a continuing commitment to its historical role in the preparation of educators. It’s history begins in the late 1880s, when citizens of Greeley petitioned the Colorado government to create a school to educate teachers in their community. The commitment to internationalizing UNC's campus is reflected in students from over 50 countries and six continents. It is committed to giving students the best preparation for today's global marketplace.
The University offers a broad range of undergraduate and graduate programs in the arts, sciences, humanities, business, human sciences and education. It offers a comprehensive array of baccalaureate programs and master's and doctoral degrees primarily in the field of education. UNC offers students the best educational experience in Colorado, not just because they have amazing academic programs, but also because their professors are talented, innovative teachers who bring research to students in the classroom and in the field. By connecting teaching and research, it offers students a unique experience with 200 undergraduate and graduate programs on campus, off campus and online. University curricula are designed to improve students' competencies in critical thinking, communication, and problem solving, leadership, and technological applications.
The campus is divided into two main areas namely central, and west. It’s central campus includes the areas north of 20th Street and west of 8th Avenue in Greeley, Colorado.
