St George & Sutherland Community College (SGSCC) is a non-for-profit college which offers over 400 vocational, accredited and leisure courses across 30 locations in Sydney, Australia.

Established over 40 years ago, it has become one of the largest and most successful community colleges in Australia. It offers flexible studying options, including classes during the day, at night and on the weekends.

The college has six departments, each focusing on specialist areas. This includes over 250 leisure courses, career-focused programmes and English courses which develop written and spoken skills.

SGSCC is also the first community college in Australia to deliver vocational courses to international students. It provides a safe, diverse, and welcoming environment, offering a variety of study options, including tours and occupational courses. All its programs combine classroom learning with practical placements within the local community.

International students at SGSCC enrol in the Jannali campus in Southern Sydney. Training packages are developed by industry and lead to nationally recognised qualifications. These training packages equip students with the skills and knowledge needed for success in the workplace, and help students stand out to employers.

The Diploma of Community Services offered by SGSCC International is Australian Community Workers Association (ACWA) accredited.

How to apply?

How to apply?

Students choose their programme of study and follow these steps to enrol:

Step 1

Students must take the time to review all course-related information and the condition of enrolment.

Step 2

Students must then download the international enrolment pack, fill in required information, and collect necessary documents.

Some of the necessary documents students need to produce include:

  • Passport copies
  • Visa status and expiry date copies
  • Academic transcripts
  • Proof of English language proficiency
  • A completed Statement of Purpose questionnaire
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Proof of financial stability

Step 3

Students must then email the signed and completed international enrolment pack back along with documents requested.

Step 4

Students will then be sent an overseas student letter of offer and written student agreement, which must be signed.

Step 5

After accepting the offer, students must then make payment.

Step 6

The confirmation of enrolment (CoE) will be sent by email within two days of having received the student payment.

Step 7

Students must then apply for their student visa.
