About Academy of Interactive Entertainment

Established in 1996, the Academy of Interactive Entertainment is recognised as Australia’s peak non-profit Registered Training Organisation for the Australian Video Games, 3D animation and related industries. Specialising in 3D computer graphics, games programming and design education, it provides real pathways to employment via training approved by industry and delivered by industry experienced teachers. AIE has close ties with many leading industry players and has won a number of awards for excellence in education development and delivery.

The Academy’s courses are nationally accredited and recognised through the Australian Qualifications Framework. Created as a non-profit organization to grow the creative digital sector, it pioneered the development of specialist game qualifications and continues to innovate through industry partnerships and dynamic teaching. The courses are practical, career-focused and delivered by industry experienced teachers in a seriously fun and creatively-demanding studio environment.
