Manukau Institute of Technology (MIT) is one of the largest institutes of technology in New Zealand and is a high-quality government tertiary education institution. MIT received a Category One rating in the most recent evaluation by NZQA in 2016, which is the highest possible rating.
MIT has a number of schools which provide international students with a wide range of globally recognised certificate, degree, graduate diploma and post-graduate level qualifications. The subject areas include business, digital technologies, nursing, engineering, and education.
Through its small class sizes, excellent technologies and facilities, MIT offers a teaching experience that is personalised and delivers industry-specific experience and skills. Many of the programmes offered at MIT include student projects which are structured with innovative businesses.
MIT provides foundation programmes to help students prepare for their study at the tertiary level, as well as English language programmes, if they require assistance to meet the English language entry requirements.
The institute has four campuses across Auckland, a city that is frequently ranked as one of the most livable places in the world. Students can head out of their campuses during their studies and explore the bush-clad mountain ranges, beautiful beaches, and the latest theatre, art, and music.
