Engineering Innovation Hub

A joint venture between Western Sydney University (WSU) and UNSW Sydney to develop a world-class Engineering Innovation Hub in Parramatta. Set to be completed by 2021, this custom-designed, 15-storey, 27,000 sqm vertical Hub in the Parramatta CBD will house a joint undergraduate engineering programme, as well as Western Sydney University's architecture and business courses.

Those students studying in the engineering degree will be part of world leading research and bring innovation to the region.

Academic entry requirements

Admission to Western Sydney University is offered to students on the basis of academic merit.

English entry requirements

All international students must have a good command of written and spoken English. If students do not meet the university's English language entry requirements, English language pathway programmes are available at The College at Western Sydney University.

If English is not a students' first language, they are required to demonstrate proficiency by achieving the prescribed level in an approved English examination or test before they can receive a full offer of admission.

If a students' first language is English, or if they can provide satisfactory evidence that their secondary or tertiary studies were undertaken in English, they may be considered to have met the English language requirements of Western Sydney University.

One of the best things about the life on campus at Western Sydney University is that there's always something happening. Ranging from table tennis comps, sports and Unigames, outdoor chess, to one of the many social events which are organised by Western Sydney University or its student clubs.

Students can also make use of transport services provided with free shuttle buses run regularly between train stations and campuses.

On-campus accommodation

Western Sydney University provides international students with high quality and fully furnished accommodation options on all of its campuses and provides students with great value for money.

Most of the facilities at Western Sydney Villages include a student lounge along with communal kitchen, laundry, computer and study rooms, TV lounge, BBQ area, and free internet.

Scholarships & funding

Scholarships & funding

A range of scholarship options are available to international students who are pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate degrees at Western Sydney University. The scholarships are valued at AUD 7,500 and AUD 5,000, or 50% of the international students' tuition fees which are awarded on their academic merit.

Western Sydney International Scholarships

The scholarship options include the Western Sydney International Scholarships which offer students 50% off their tuition fees. This scholarship is available for a duration of three years for undergraduate studies and two years for postgraduate studies.

Vice-Chancellor's Excellence scholarships

Assessed with every international application, the Vice-Chancellor's Excellence scholarships provide international students an AUD 7,500 multi-year or AUD 5,000 multi-year partial scholarships. These scholarships are to be applied towards the international students' tuition fees for a period of up to three years for undergraduate studies, and two years for postgraduate studies.
