Founded in 1985, the Core Purpose of the Anglican Schools Commission was to establish and support low fee Anglican systemic schools which provide a high quality, inclusive, caring Christian education. Growing from modest beginnings with the opening of St Mark?s Anglican Community School in 1986 in Perth?s northern beachside suburb of Hillarys, there are now more than 14,000 students attending 11 ASC schools in Western Australia, three ASC Schools in the Diocese of Wangaratta and the ASC Language School, based in Perth.

With a staff of more than 1700, the ASC is one of the larger and only non-government schooling systems in Australia offering the Western Australian Universities? Foundation Program (WAUFP), which enables entry to the University of Western Australia, Curtin University, Edith Cowan University or Murdoch University. Students who complete the WAUFP can apply to leading universities in Australia and the rest of the world.

Programs offered by the ASC International are designed to follow a student?s journey throughout their time at the school. ASC International ensures that students have a positive experience and feel safe, welcomed and comfortable at all times. Academic programs are delivered with quality and focus on the ingredients needed for a successful transition into further study or life outside of the high school environment.

ASC emphasis on high academic achievement is balanced by engaging Co-curricular and Extra-Curricular Programs. In addition to programs offered by each ASC school, students from all schools may have the opportunity to take part in joint activities, such as annual ski trip and school tours to America, Europe and the United Kingdom.
