Fahan is a non-denominational school with a Christian ethos. It strives to create an inclusive community and progressive educational environment where all the girls can be prepared and educated to achieve full potential. The school’s vision is to aim to continue to be recognised and respected as a most outstanding and pre-eminent school for girls in Tasmania as well as being a preferred educational environment for students both within Australia and overseas.
At Fahan School, students from many countries and backgrounds join together to benefit from an outstanding academic and extra-curricular program. It accepts International students from Prep - Year 12, although students below Year 9 entry level must be accompanied in Australia by a parent or close relative. Students in Year 9 and above require a school approved guardian if they do not live in the Fahan Boarding House.
The School is conveniently located in the suburb of Sandy Bay, known for its secure family environment and well-kept leafy streets, just six kilometres from Hobart's Central Business District and only a 20-minute drive from the Hobart International Airport.
