From the first cotton mills of the 1800s, located in Dundas and Ancaster, to the flourishing foundries of Hamilton harbour in the 20th century, Hamilton had established itself as a leading industrial city. In 1947, the Provincial Institute of Textiles, a predecessor to Mohawk College and located at what is now the Wentworth Campus, was founded as one of the first Ontario schools to offer specialized post-secondary training in the technical fields.

The college?s dynamic faculty teaches 160 programs in their specialties which include healthcare, technology and business, skilled trades, as well as a vast array of other subjects. More than 90 programs are available for international students to choose from. At Mohawk, Students will be exposed to a world of opportunity and will have the chance to develop skills that will help prepare them for whatever comes next. Business, entrepreneurship, engineering, healthcare, English language training and more, all contribute to its promise to create world ready and future ready graduates.

Located on the corner of West 5th Street and Fennell Avenue, Fennell Campus is the main campus for Mohawk College. Fennell Campus has undergone the largest renovation in Mohawk history. Re-designed as a welcoming place to live and learn, the renewal has created a modernized space while enhancing energy efficiency, barrier-free access and more.

Mohawk's Stoney Creek Campus for Skilled Trades is the home of the Marshall School of Skilled Trades & Apprenticeship. With top technology and professional facilities for the skilled trades, Mohawk grads are in high demand.

Home to six hospitals and a cancer centre, Hamilton has a great demand for health care practitioners. Led by a world-class faculty, Mohawk prepares students in outstanding facilities that include the human anatomy and simulation labs, as well as computer and digital labs. Students will complete field and clinical placements with teaching and community hospitals throughout Ontario for enhanced learning in a real health care setting.
