SUNY Nassau Community College




Nassau Community College opened in 1960 as part of the State University of New York. It is the largest single campus community college in the state and the first choice for one of every five college bound high school graduates in Nassau County. The college is the place where students most ambitious plans can begin to take shape. It is committed to academic excellence and the dignity and worth of the individual.
Students can find more than 70 fields of study at the college, with the facilities, technology, small class sizes, and great teaching that will fuel their educational goals. Nassau Community College is dedicated to high quality, low cost education and career preparation to meet the needs and interests of the community it serves. To this end, it offers Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, and Associate in Applied Science degrees, as well as Certificate and continuing education programs. The College places a high priority on small classes, taught by qualified, experienced faculty, to provide an optimal educational environment.
Nassau Community College has a beautiful 225 acre campus located in the heart of Long Island, the largest single campus community college in the state and part of the State University of New York system.
