Founded in 1889 and tucked between the Rocky Mountains and Colorado’s stunning high plains, UNC is a public doctoral research university committed to the success of its 13,000 students, with more than 100 undergraduate programs and 120 graduate programs. At the university, students can do alot than they have imagined from intramural sports to Frisbee golf, and with its unique Outdoor Pursuits program, students will have easy access to Colorado's amazing outdoor adventures with trips, skills workshops, free gear rental and knowledgeable advice for planning and preparation.
There are more than 100 student’s organization and clubs at UNC. RSO categories range from professional, honorary, and academic, to social, cultural, political, and religious. Joining a club is a great way to develop leadership skills, and studies have shown that involvement in extra-curricular activities actually benefits a student's academic record.
With a beautiful campus located just South of Downtown Greeley, UNC and the surrounding area have a lot to offer. The campus is divided into two main areas: central, and west. UNC's Central Campus includes the areas north of 20th Street and west of 8th Avenue in Greeley, Colorado.
