Since its founding in 1888, Utah State University has evolved from a small-town college tucked away in the Northern Utah Mountains to a thriving research university respected around the world. Logan and the surrounding area, including ski resorts, lakes, rivers, and mountains, make USU one of the finest recreational environments in the nation. USU's Caine College of Arts, which hosts numerous events on campus.

The main campus at Logan is just minutes from two mountain ranges and within a half-day's drive of six national parks, including Yellowstone and Arches. It provides big-school opportunities with a small-school feel, and all for a great value. Ten major ski resorts, many of which hosted sites for the 2002 Winter Olympics, lie within a two-hour drive of campus.
