Vancouver School Board
The Vancouver School Board is a large, urban and multicultural school district. It is committed to provide the highest quality learning experience to all students, helping students to reach their intellectual, social, and physical potential in a safe and inclusive environment. The Vancouver School District is among the most diverse public school systems in Canada with an annual enrolment of approximately 54,000 students in Kindergarten to grade 12. Its schools are involved in a wide range of partnerships with cultural, arts, and service organizations. The district also offers a multitude of services and program options to meet student interests and needs.
Vancouver School Board's International Education Program gives students from outside of Canada the opportunity to study at a local school, to graduate with a Grade 12 diploma, or to study at summer school. It offers a culturally rich cross-section of students, instructors and counsellors who contribute to the high quality of education in the schools.
Vancouver is located in British Columbia province, on Canada's Pacific Ocean coast. The city is situated between the mountains and the ocean, and has warm summers and mild winters. Students have the chance to live in one of the most progressive, safe and beautiful cities in the world.
