Empowering Communities

Global education changes the world. We are a company with ingrained purpose, committed to creating stronger, sustainable communities, and enabling a more educated, balanced and emboldened world for all.

IDP’s Sustainable Futures framework sets out the company’s commitment to empowering communities through building access to quality education and a culture of gender equality, aligned to the UN’s Sustainable Development goals.

Highlights of the program include:

Volunteer Leave program

A volunteer leave policy has been introduced for Australian staff. For FY21, employees will receive two paid days leave for time spent with registered charities that support our Sustainable Futures goals of improving access to education, gender equality, environment and community.

Global Excellence Award categories introduced

Community Endeavour and the Greener Futures awards were introduced in FY20 to celebrate work teams do to support their community and the environment. Demonstrating our commitment to improve the communities we operate in, these awards have been embraced by global teams.
