The IELTS Partners are committed to protecting the health of our test takers, while also trying to minimise disruption to life-changing opportunities for international higher education and migration.

Research grants: call for proposals closes 30 June

The call for proposals for the 2020 IELTS research program is now open and closes on 30 June 2020. We invite institutions and individuals to apply for funding to undertake applied research projects in relation to IELTS. Applications from all countries are encouraged!

IELTS Smart Learning launched in China

IELTS Smart Learning, an AI-powered Speaking practice app, has recently been launched in China. Using the strength of IELTS assessment and the AI capability of our technology partner, this app aims to help Chinese users learn and improve speaking through a variety of activities.

Covid-safe testing continued in Australia

Official requirements resulted in the suspension of IELTS testing in many locations. Yet, in locations where it is permitted and safe to do so, IELTS testing still went ahead. Australia had additional precautions in place to help protect the health of test takers and staff while conducting IELTS tests.

2019 IELTS Research Grant Recipients

We are pleased to announce that two high-quality research projects will be funded by IDP Education under the IELTS joint-funded research program. Once complete, these IELTS Research Reports will be published in full and available for free on the IELTS.org website, along with the existing 110+ other reports.
