Introducing IDP Connect - the new B2B arm of IDP Education


Hotcourses Group and IDP Education are pleased to announce as of 30 January 2019, both organisations’ global client-facing services will come together as IDP Connect – a sub-brand of IDP.

IDP Connect – the new B2B division of IDP – is the amalgamation of the two highly successful companies. The new brand cements IDP’s position as a global leader in student marketing and recruitment, and provides institutions access to in-market knowledge in over 30 countries and an online trusted prospective student audience of more than 77 million.

Following on from the acquisition of Hotcourses Group by IDP in 2017, and the merge of the Hotcourses Group and IDP UK and Europe teams in 2018, the organisations decided to retire the Hotcourses Group entity name and rebrand the business as IDP Connect.

The merging of Hotcourses Group and IDP client-facing teams will take place in Australia, New Zealand, the United States and Canada later in the year.

There will be no changes to IDP’s student placement services or student-facing activities, Hotcourses Abroad, Whatuni or The Complete University Guide. These trusted brands, websites and services will remain student first, ensuring students have all the information and support they need to make the right decisions about their future. The IDP network of student counsellors and student placement services will also remain unchanged.

Andrew Barkla, CEO of IDP Education, said by bringing teams together, IDP Connect aims to provide an unparalleled service for clients and, in turn, deliver a more connected experience for students.

“The merge of our online student engagement capabilities and physical face-to-face support network is a key milestone in our pursuit to develop the world’s leading platform and connected community for our customers,” Mr Barkla said.

“Over the coming months, we’ll work together with our institution clients to better understand and enhance their capabilities using data, insights and our engaged student communities.”

Simon Emmett, CEO of IDP Connect, said the past two years have been an important stage in the process.
