Acadia?s four faculties, Arts, Pure and Applied Sciences, Professional Studies, and Theology offers more than 200-degree combinations in its undergraduate academic programs and graduate programs. Located at the centre of campus, the Vaughan Memorial Library provides many services and specialized collections, which support the teaching and research programs of the University. Clubs and societies are an important part of the Acadia Students? Union. Not only do they provide opportunities to meet people with similar interests, do exciting things, and socialize, but they also give students an opportunity to broaden their university experience and get involved. With over 80 clubs and societies, there is something for everyone.
Acadia?s 12 residence buildings range from high-rise to heritage and from basic double rooms to deluxe singles in suites. Each residence has a team of residence assistants who build and maintain a sense of community and work with security staff to provide 24/7 campus safety.
Acadia is in the quintessential college town of Wolfville, Nova Scotia, just a one-hour drive from Halifax and its international airport. Just steps beyond campus, students can explore a rich, natural environment that includes the world?s highest tides, vineyards, woodland trails, and rich farmlands. On campus, take advantage of research, dining, dancing, and conference facilities and be sure to check out lecture series, concert and theatre events and catch the excitement of varsity athletics games. Acadia also has an Art Gallery, community recreation facilities, and the beautiful Harriet Irving Botanical Gardens.
